VTI Technologies strengthens its organization in Asia
In order to better serve the rapidly growing Asian market, VTI has been reorganizing and strengthening its Asian organization. As part of the reorganization, VTI has appointed Mr. Jih-Lih Bai as Vice President and General Manager of Asia Operations. Jih-Lih Bai is responsible for overall VTI business development, product segments and customers in Asia. Jih-Lih Bai has joined the company on 1st of June 2008.
Mr. Jih-Lih Bai has 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. He worked for LSI Logic Corporation for 18 years in various engineering and management positions and obtained extensive experience in ASSP and ASIC business before joining VTI. He has also held executive management positions in several fabless start-up companies in Silicon Valley, California. Jih-Lih Bai is fluent in Mandarin and English.
VTI has recently restructured its JV company, Beijing Orisens Co. Ltd. (BOC), to be a solely owned VTI subsidiary in China. Currently, VTI has offices in Shanghai and Beijing in China and an office in Tokyo covering the Japanese and Korean markets. VTI will continue to grow its business and expand its operations in other countries in Asia.
